Hello fellow builders, luthiers and enthusiasts.

I am very excited to be finally building an all acoustic model based from my F5 semi hollow body I build for Randy Bachman, with a few tweaks in design.
I am taking the mandolin scroll away and making it an archtop version based on the Stratford Thinline. (see pics)

This is a whole new animal but cannot wait. There may be questions. lol

I love the carving process, I love the whole idea about it. It's a far more in depth process that the bolt on's guitars I do.

What's different?
Well the neck will join at the 14th fret for starters.
It will be have elevated neck.
It may use an under saddle pickup system.

While I wait on some top spruce I decided to begin carving the back.

Getting closer as I finalize the carve and add the SHoles. Since this model is called the Stratford Archtop I chose not to do an fhole. Quite love it.
