I run across JC 120's on tour from time to time. I find I get the best 'jazz' sound dialed in by turning the BASS and TREBLE all the way off and using the MIDDLE as a single tone control PK
Yes, I too have tried Harley Benton flat 12 gauge, they're ok. Edit: Not the same sound quality as Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Swing, IMHO.
