Hi, does anyone have a video of the TC BAM 200 recorded with an archtop guitar? I don't have the chance to try it here and I'm looking for a portable head.
    thanks!

I don't see that, so I'm not sure what you're referencing. As I view the video, there is no change that I see from the time the cable is removed from the Little Jazz until the scene changes to the closeups of the settings.

    The bam has a limiter?

I don't think so. Nothing adjustable anyway.

There are extensive, very detailed and tech-y threads about BAM200 in TalkBass and The Gear Page, time frame 2019-2021. My understanding of electronics is zero, but my (perhaps biased) reading is that while bassists were initially skeptical about the true wattage and loudness (until testimonials to the contrary began to emerge), TGP guitarists in particular seemed to prefer the BAM's sound over Seymour Duncans and other IcePower derivatives.

It's not a video effect - it's in the audio. As I said, "...at 1:22, the soundfield shifts from a narrow centered image to a wider one". Listen to the audio carefully and you'll hear it. It's actually at about 1:22.5 and it's clearly audible when listening through 'phones or stereo speakers. It won't be as obvious if you're listening on a phone or tablet.

I think I hear what you're talking about, but it sounds more like a slight increase in volume, which sort of makes it seem like wider. I could be wrong, but increasing volume into a mic can cause the audio to sound fuller. The LJ doesn't sound as wide as the Polytone, which I would attribute to volume difference, probably influenced by speaker size as well as amp volume. I certainly wouldn't make any bets on anything. I await the OP's input.

I heard the sound difference in headphones as well, but I wondered if perhaps it was due to a stereo mic being set up in the middle, pointing to the LJ. It vaguely sounded to me as if the TOOB was in the left of the sound field; but I didn't hear anything similar to the right for the Polytone.

A mystery only the OP can clear up.
