I prefer a dark, fat sound which is part of the reason I use TI '13's. But, I'm wanting to experiment with some picks. My "go-to" is a 1.5 mm D'Andrea Pro Plec. What picks are others using?

I used to use whatever the cheap logo picks the shops gave away until I tried Dunlops. I really like their Nylon and they dont break like the other plastics. I lose them before they wear out.
Dunlop Max-Grip Jazz II 1.18 for jazz
Dunlop Nylon .60 for acoustic strumming
Dunlop Nylon .73 or .88 for everything else

If anyone has direct experience with this pick, and found something darker. Please let know. Thanks

Pro-Plec small teardrops. Just tried a Jazz III XL Ultex and want to try a regular sized Jazz III Ultex. The red nylon ones are brighter than I want but nice and agile, the black ones are a bit poker-chippy (a big complaint I have about a lot of guitar picks, but a lot of other people don't seem to have that effect).

This thread will give some new things to try, but for now:

The only problem i have with my Bue Chip Pick is that it feels so good, sounds so good, that i am too dependent on it.
I sure should buy an other emergency one.
Meanwhile the Ultex are a terrific pick value. Like the Blue Chip it quickly sticks to your skin just the right amount when it gets warm.

On acoustic guitar I use Dunlop Delrin 500 (0.96 mm) for flatpicking bluegrass and country.
On the electric archtop, for jazz, I use small D'Andrea pro plec or Dunlop Jazz III.
I did use Blue Chip for many years but didn't like the thought of getting to dependent on them either so I started using ordinary picks again. Picks that I could find in any music store.

I don't know who makes them for Traynor. I doubt that they have their own pick factory. Might be worth investigating, if you want to find them in the US.
Before the Traynor, my main picks were the Clayton Ultem small teardrop. They sounded and felt nice too. I haven't tried that model in Acetal (mentioned by vintagelove), but my guess is that Ultem may sound darker. I still use them occasionally, but I prefer the shape of the Traynor / BC Jazz / Red Bear Lil' Jazzer.
I like the shape of the Dunlop Jazz III, but I don't like how they feel, for some reason. Pickboy have a jazz pick that is the same shape. I have a few, the white ones, and I really, really like them. Sound close to the Traynor. One caveat though: I recently purchased new ones online (pearloid); the material is different, the edges are rougher, and as a result, they feel and sound different - and I don't like the new ones that much. I don't know if they still make the solid white ones or just the pearloid now. I know they made and maybe still make black ones, but I haven't tried them.
I like the material and the way the Dawg sounds, but its shape doesn't work all the time for me. I mostly used them when I still had a tenor guitar. I found them great for that. They are also among the darkest sounding picks I've played.
