    'm not sure whether if you would label it modern jazz or fusion or whatnot, but I love Krantz' sounds on this album

    I think this is a great example of of a tone that enables a horn like phrasing. And it's an interesting alternative to the previous generation's use of chorus and distortion and such (Sco, Stern, etc). Is it my favourite tone ever? I dunno about that. But I like what he's doing with it, and what I believe it enable him to do.
