I need a fresh set of eyes. I recently acquired two Gibson style tailpieces for My Gibson 350T and can't decide which one to stick with.

Both fit and secure properly so, the issue is one of aesthetics.

Which one should I go with?

The first one is the original design for your specific model, but I like the second one better. For my taste, the first one has always seemed a bit artsy fartsy while the second is more sober and down to business and as such more in line with the restrained and tasteful design of the guitar itself. But that's just my taste and others may differ.

The first one went on the original short scale ES350T in the 1950s (and on the Byrdland) as well as on the long scale reissue (yours) from the 1990s while the second went on the long scale full depth 1950s ES350.

I think the 2nd one might be better as far as eliminating extraneous metallic resonances.

I like them both, but lean towards number two as more practical.

I never really liked Byrdland or ES-350T t.p.'s or later ES-5 Switchmaster and Citation t.p.'s for that matter, maybe it's the loops. That said I was initially gonna go w the loop here as it's more 'correct', but the heck w/ it I say, go for the old style trapeze.

wow both of those are nice!

I like the second one though!

do you reckon that the second one will also fit an ES-330?

No, but Gibson also made a thinline version (initially for the ES-175T and seen more recently on some of the ES-275 models).
It's also easy enough to grind down one of the many Chinese re-issue tailpieces to fit a thinline guitar.
