Fender ‘Mustang’ Made In Mexico Guitar

I have a Fender ‘Mustang’ made in Mexico guitar. Are the pickup’s good quality? I am looking for a warmer jazz’y sound. Would a change of pickup’s help to achieve that? Any advice / examples of pickup’s that would do that?

I have the same guitar. I didn't care for the pickups. I thought they sounded thin and noisy. I'm in Canada so without getting into importing I put in a Fralin hum cancelling P90. It's a big improvement but it took some routing to get it in. Fralin has a hum cancelling Mustang pickup as well and if I had known about it, I probably would have bought one. I have one of these. The pickups are a bit on the weak side. I guess I might have a humbucker as the neck pickup one day...
