    Hello player’s,

can anyone give me a hint about the value of a Ibanez 2460 natural Lawsuit L5 Copy in good shape?

if you have played this one and can give me your opinion about this guitar, would be great, too.

Thanks for all the effort in advance.

    regards

I assume you are referring to the USA prices? Here in the Netherlands/Europe prices do differ from those in the USA. But, I had an eye on this 80s Greco that is for sale in France at this moment.
I even have an original L5CT tailpiece and an inlayed ebony bridge at hand. But, I ended up with a real 1977 Gibson L5CES
Seller asks today 1600 Euro only. I think that is a very good price. I would say 2000 + Euro normally comes first nowadays. Guitar looks to be in very nice condition. Adding a pickguard would make it look even better. Greco and Ibanez are comparable in my eyes.
    No affiliation of course.

Thanks a lot. I’m interested the general value. But it’s even more of interest for Europe.

Sorry, without knowing the condition of the guitar it would be impossible to estimate a price. My guess is that the range of price for this model in good or better condition in the US market is likely $2,500-$4,000. If you want a quote for a 77 Ibanez 2460 there is one for sale on Joe’s Vintage Guitars website. Joe’s guitars tend to be in Excellent condition so expect to pay on the high end of market price.

Joe also has other similar vintage Ibanez and Greco models for sale that you may want to check out:

    78 Ibanez FA300
    78 Ibanez FA700
    97 Ibanez AF120
    75 Aria Pro II PE-180
    79 Bradley L5-type

You might also want to have a look at the 77 Greco Barney Kessel; pretty nice.

Full disclosure, I am not affiliated with JV Guitars except for the fact that I recently bought a beautiful 78 Ibanez 2630 from Joe and, admittedly, paid what I think is top $ for the guitar but happy that I did. I have included a link to his website in a previous post for those interested in quality vintage MIG guitars and provide the link again below if you would like to check out his inventory.

    Regards for now,
    Andrew

I sold a few in the 3-3.5K range about 5 yrs ago including Ted Greene's. I don't think they've gone up that much since, unless it's through someone like JVG

I owned a 2460 ten years ago. I sold it for $3k then. It was as mint as I’ve seen.

The Super 78’s were excellent humbuckers. The guitar played like a dream.

As to today’s prices, I haven’t a clue, but those I’ve seen were above $3.5k, which I thought was ridiculous for what they are. But you get what you’re willing to pay for.

In the UK they're about £1800 on a reasonable day.
