Has anyone tried a single neck mounted Duncan P-rails for jazz guitar?

When SD first came out with P-rails, I was excited. I checked out P-rails in a friend’s guitar. It did not work for me.
I think because it was not able to have a strong characteristics of all three types of PUs. It also could of been that what I want from a HD, SC, and P90 are specific sounds. I remember it being fun, but vanilla-ish. I was surprised that I did not want to rush out and buy one.
However, so much depends on the guitar and amp.
My solution has been to own a handful of guitars that I setup for specific sounds. The experience is that every time I pick up one of my guitars, it always feels like the best guitar ever, and I can not imagine playing anything else. That has taken a bit of work to do.
(I still have about 3 guitars to really find the right PU for them. I have been slowly working on this project for many years).

There was a guy on youtube Erik te kamp ( I think!) who demoed pickups and archtops. I was hoping to revisit the clip with a p tails but all clips seem to have gone. A great shame

I've been using a pair of these in a D'Angelico EX SS for years. I think they're great pickups. And, hopefully, not just because I run them. The wiring is tricky with push/pull pots but you can't beat being able to switch between P90, single coil, and the two humbucker settings. If the argument is 'it isn't as good as having four dedicated pickups of that type..'. Umm.. OK. But like having a coil tap on your HB, the point isn't to compete with a Strat. The sounds are quite good and musically useful. My favorite is the P90 with the serial HB a close second.
Thoughts on Tele 4-way Switch Mod?
