Eastman Romeo? Not sure about the weight, though.

Comins GCS1 or GCS1 ES
Not sure about the weight but quite confortable to play, 2 humbuckers with split, 24.75 scale, nice cleans and grits
Hard to beat IMO
And by the way, welcome to the forum

PRS S2 Custom 22? Pretty sure both the solid and the semi are under 7 lbs (semi for sure). S2 Vela is,
too.
Maybe a 90’s Guild Bluesbird?
Not sure about the weight, but they’re chambered and lighter than a Les Paul
Seventy Seven Albatross? Also not sure about the weight, but they should be close.

I really like my Ibanez AM205-AV Prestige. I think it could do the whole fusion thing, but I have not really ran it like that. Maybe more like a Ford fusion, then say a Holdworth type thing.

EDIT: they do. Can’t vouch for the quality.
otoh I’ve been quietly impressed by every modern D’Angelico I’ve played. I think if you shell out for one of their higher end models you’d be getting a lot of guitar for the money compared to some of the more established marques. Also I think the designs and colours are distinctive and lovely.

The comins look really pretty, but they are kind of rare here in europe. Gonna look out for one anyways

How about an SG?
I had one for a while and thought it sounded fantastic. It is different sounding than a Les Paul.
2 humbuckers, 24.75" scale length. Even a Gibson will be under $2k, but you can probably find a non-Gibson SG in the low/mid hundreds.

The neck is pretty fat.
I really like the LA, it has a punchy sound, with some twang. I also feel like the guitar is targeted to the hipster and/or americana type crowd. (That is not me… I have had to play some songs from the Band. That counts as americana, right…. or maybe I just took too many loads for free to think of the Band like that).
The LA is great, but maybe not my first choice for a heavy saturated type sound. SGs are cool.

Romeo LA, California or NYC : all 14.75" lower bout width

I must have played a different Eastman, and thought it was one of the Romeo series… thank you for letting me know. Are all the thineline simi-hollow (with the block under the bridge)? Also, does a Casino have the block under the bridge? 339?

Left field option: Fender Tele Jim Adkins?
cheap, light, 2xp90s, fixed neck, body contours, Gibson scale & stoptail bridge, contoured heel access… fusion entails distortion and volume???

There is no perfect guitar, just a bunch of great choices depending on your preferences.
I do think that the Tele platform is maybe the most versatile to build upon though.

This Gibson is a lot lighter than solid Les Paul, and under $3,000
