Does anybody even make lefty 7 string jazz-type guitars? Let alone 7 string models with a multi scale?

I found this Schecter but it seems like it's more of a rock guitar. Whereas I'm looking for something jazzy-ish to play my Bach sounding stuff ( you've probably seen my videos so you know what I mean ).

They are a difficult guitar to search for especially to buy within the EU (not UK!!) due to import charges if I buy outside the EU.

    Thank you

Though this is an acoustic guitar, rather than an archtop, it has multi-scale and is built in Ireland, which may be less expensive for you in Europe (?).

Emerald Guitars - X20-7 Tremendous Trebles & Rich Bass

I have one and it is a nice instrument, but definitely different from my Jimmy Foster 7 string archtop (which doesn't have fan frets).

Thanks for that Tony. I'm actually based in Ireland though at the other end than Emerald Guitars.

They look very interesting and seem to sound good too. The price tags are a bit high for me though.

My guitars do get knocked as I use them for teaching and gigging etc so they get around. I'd probably prefer to spend around €1k so that if the guitar picks up a few scratches and dings it's not the end of the world.

Thanks for bringing these guys to my attention. I'm not a gear head so had never heard of them before.

Thomann has cheap multi-scale guitars but no left-handed models.

The Schecters seem to be your best option in your price range.
Budget-mid tier multi-scale guitars are geared to the metal crowd.

There is this from Agile Guitars at $699.95 if you're prepared to go headless. I can't speak to the quality.

That guitar looks very interesting David. Price friendly too. The only problem is that it seems to be shipped from outside the EU which means that I'll have to pay import charges and fees of 25%+ on it.

You seem to have it very good in the UK as you have some great, large guitar stores over there.

The fact that I'm a lefty looking for something specific means that I don't have 1,000 guitars hanging on my wall. It could actually be a blessing in disguise

I suggest joining the website sevenstring.org and doing some searching there. You'll probably be able to find someone there that has been in your same shoes and found something that worked for them.

What's the answer to the Captcha?

"Our guitars are frequently tuned in..."
I've tried EADGBE, beagbe, fourths, in tune etc

The Gibson Les Paul looking Epiphone Matt Heafy 7 string always looked good to my eyes.

Thomann in Germany can get the left handed version.

If you are looking for an electric than surely you can make this or that agile Klingon warbird sound however you want?

A left-handed, 7-string multiscale acoustic that's anywhere close to your budget would probably have to be ordered from Yunzi....

You seem to have it very good in the UK as you have some great, large guitar stores over there.
How about a ferry+shopping trip or maybe even simply a trip up north? Good chance that you can avoid the undesirable kind of government funding that way, too

Thanks Guy. That didn't come up on my Thomann search for some reason. Looks neat. It's a pity that I can't try them all out before buying.

Good idea however I want to buy it without my better half being there so that I can tell her that I only paid half of what I actually paid for it

    Just kidding of course....

While I really like the Schecter in the OP it's highly likely that I'll purchase this Framus Panthera as it's nearly half the price of the Schecter and I can make up my mind about whether or not 7 strings are for me.

Even though the Framus is a good bit cheaper than the Schecter. I'll take 30 days to think about buying it and, yes, I know that the Framus is not a multi scale.

Try writing Thomann. There are quite a few H.Benton 7-string models for <500£, even with fan-frets ... it'd be a bit surprising if there were really no LH versions of those.
