Anyone tried/had history with these? I'm pretty much a GHS guy but thought I might try these.

I have had them on several different guitars on different occasions.
I think they are a little brighter and maybe a little more output.
I do use them but am not sure they are really worth the extra cost.

I’ve tried them a few times. I like them but they’re much higher tension than standard roundwound sets of the same gauge. Therefore they require a setup. To me it’s not worth they additional work. They don’t sound particularly better or worse than the standard daddario strings.

Tried them, not worth the extra cost for me, so I stick with d addarios which I buy the 5 or 10 sets pack.

I went to the D'addario website and found that the claim is the strings have better tuning stability and are more break resistant, for those who do 2 stop, and beyond, bends.
The use a special formulated high carbon steel.

I quite like the NYXL strings and have used them for many years. When I switched from the XL strings, I noticed they got in tune faster and stayed in tune better. They also had a slight mid boost. I use the NYXL 12s for straight ahead stuff and the 11s for jazz/funk.
