The BAM case for my Trenier is still nice and mostly un-blemished because I usually carry the guitar in a MONO bag whenever possible but now I've got some trips ahead where a bag won't be safe enough.
I want the case to stay clean so the idea of a case cover came up - nothing is available over here except custom-jobs which are prohibitively expensive. So far I've only found
"Caseadillo" covers, distributed by luthier Sam Guidry, wrote him but no response yet - are there any others out there ?

Visenut makes case covers for their own cases, and they fit any case with similar dimensions. But BAM makes (or at least used to make) “flight covers” for their cases. I’d check with them first, since you have a BAM case.

Thanks for the heads-up ! I've also seen the Visenut offers and they write that the covers are specifically made for their own cases - which makes sense. BAM does offer so-called "Hoodies" but so far only in the classical-guitar-case size. I've written to them twice asking about a larger one but no response so far - Bryant Trenier had GREAT difficulties with the company back when he ordered the case for my guitar, they were very slow in reacting and seemingly reluctant to do so, the delivery took ages ...

In the meantime I've heard back from Sam Guidry and he is in fact still offering his covers - now I wait for a price quote and lead time ....
I'll keep you all posted !

There are several posts on web forums from people who measured their own cases and found a Visenut cover that fit. So it seems worth the effort, since they’re only $115. Even if it’s not a second skin, a close fit should do the job.

I just checked the BAM site. They show “flight covers” in various sizes including 16” archtop. The down side is that they’re $400+.

There's a guy in South of France selling some custom made covers for various sizes. Maybe one will suit your need ?

The original owner of a 1995 Gibson I purchased had one and it came with the guitar . Cover still looks decent. Case is immaculate. Like, the exterior looks new. On the other hand, cover doesn't offer any additional protection for the guitar, might hold moisture if it got wet, and doesn't offer much utility over the case.

My preference is to stick the case in the closet and use a Mono gig bag. More protection, weather protection, utility and the case stays pristine.

I got a message from Sam Guidry and I'm still thinking about it ... not really cheap but all the other options do not make me feel safe re the actual fitting for my case. The Visenut model is not long enough.
It's a luxury item yes but OTOH the guitar and case that this "hoody" is meant for are quite valuable also and if I can keep the case clean and scratch-free a potential sale down the road might be easier... The Calton cases have a rough outside which is much more resistant to scratches and blemishes but these also cost more than twice the price of the BAM case that the Trenier guitar came with !
