Yes, it's Fujigen. They started their business years ago. Archtops and solidbodies.

Yeah, a few years ago (15ish maybe?) Fujigen came close to closing down their guitar business because they were making a lot of wooden dashboard inlays for various car companies. Ibanez moved some of their stuff out of there, the car market stuff got sent to Indonesia (I'm a bit fuzzy on that) and Fujigen started their own brand. Assume they are on a level with the Japanese made Ibanez Prestige line guitars.

So.. the top and sides are laminates, a name few know, and it's $2840? I like Japanese guitars as much as the next guy but I think I would be looking at Westville for not that much more.

I’ve been happy with my FGN Masterfield semi-acoustic.

TBH I think the Semi's are priced a little high. The Archtop seems like better value.

Actually, scrub that - the spec looks similar to an Ibanez of the same price.

ESP Edwards seems like a slightly better deal to me. And the Edwards contours are almost identical to the Gibsons rather than being altered for purposes of sale in the USA. That being said they only make semi hollow and solid bodies, not full hollow stuff.

Is that one of the smaller, 335 style withe the carved rather than laminate body? I've considered them as an alternative to the similarly built CS336, but never seen one in the wild.

What are the necks like in terms of size/shape?

It's interesting that Ibanez is cited as a reference... because from the information I read, Ibanez are manufactured by Fujigen (FGN) in Japan...
among other brands! I already had an FGN model Les Paul...incredible instrument...absolutely professional!
