The house cube40 combo
crapped out on a recent jam sess
So i asked a sitter in if we could
use him amp
it was a little THR5 !
hey …. some amp beats no amp
every day
It actually did ok
with the volume maxed out
on the ‘Acoustic’ setting
the band was playing at a moderate lunch time cafe level
just thought i’d share

I have a THR5A that I use when a travel. A good alternative for that IMHO.

Sorry correction
Actually it was a THR5a
and I was on the Nylon setting

All those THR amps are to be recommended.

I own a THR5 and love it!
Besides guitar, I also use it for my iPod... sounds great!Last edited by frabarmus; 11-25-2023 at 10:51 AM.

I have a THR 10ii...best practice amp ever, but could probably work in a small room gig with a polite audience.

I have a THR 10C amp, excellent piece of kit.
It's great for coffee café crooning and for crusty carehome codgers, ha ha.
Somewhere I saw someone fart arse-ing about with making a Line out for speaker cabs.
Also see some bluesy droog mike up one with a p.a. and it sounded really good.
It cannot handle bass even though there's a setting, it can't handle looped bass, the sound drops when you twinkle twang yet bits over the top mate....
Tweaking the parameters with the laptop in real time is cool and has 5 pre set buttons to swap around with. Best of all it has a plate reverb option which sounds better than the factory spring and hall.
Perhaps on the presupposition it was purloined by a pirate plundering pilfering perpetrator my pining persona will promptly purchase this perfect product and properly preserve and protect it phew.....
YMMV
