Legato, Pat Martino / Tim Miller, Octave displaced chromatic scale over rhythm changes
This is a chromatic scale, similar to Pat Martino's 12 Chromatic forms for guitar but done in a legato style ala Tim Miller.
Anytime there are multiple notes on a single string, i use slurs.
This can be played literally over any chord but I think it sounds best when the accent notes happen to fall on tones
you want to highlight. For example, playing this over a G7Alt chord sounds very cool.
However, to demonstrate that you can use these anywhere, I play it over the [A] section of Bb Rhythm Changes in
the demo!
The demo is the same line but moves up chromatically by using the 2nd to the last note in the measure and
pivoting up to a new key. The red note in the example can go up to B Natural instead of A and that will take you
to the pattern in the new key

This would be a good ear training exercise for hearing major 7ths and minor 9ths.
