Legato 5th triad with forward motion, altered dominant, Skjold bass, gibson 335
This is a variation of the 5th triads from my Sheets of Sound Vol 1 book. In this case, i am using forward motion,
(Starting on the up-beat, and using legato techniques (slurs) to give it a different sound.
In the original book version of this lick, it was played on the beat and articulating every note. This version with slurs is much fresher sounding.
This line sounds good against GMaj, Dsus, ASus, Amin, F#7Alt, Db7Alt, etc.
The bass parts and chords are performed using my Skjold Erskine Whaleback. Checkout 403 Forbidden for more info.

At least for me, the delay makes it hard to hear the line. The repeat is disconcerting and confusing, being nearly as loud as the original note; maybe others don't have that problem. There is a lot of Pat Metheny. I can't listen to because of the delays he uses, also. Oddly enough Holdsworth, who used up to seven delays at the same time, doesn't seem to have this problem.
