haha, thanks. I actually have a sensitivity to bright lights so if I record with my studio lights on, i wear the sunglasses to protect my eyes.

I've been using the Major Bebop scale descending in two octave patterns. Just, to get them under my fingers. Example below, this works well to my ears.
