If we're including solo albums with double-tracked guitars, here are a couple of others:

I think Bill Frisell and Joe Diorio did solo albums, aswell...

I have to say for my taste this Jack Grassel cut was just noodling around and did nothing for me. Possibly his other stuff is great but his was void of any real melody is was burst of super speed then abrupt change to another style. Ouch says my ears and mind. I am just an umpire I call them as they come across the plate.

Thia to me is one of my all time favorite and possible close to Joe Pass and Virtuoso, which to me is the finest ever recorded.

Joe Pass, "Intercontinental" among many others. Also, just about any Barney Kessel solo album. There are many more artists with great solo recordings. Also, it just occurred to me not all of "Intercontinental" is solo. Good stuff though.

Intercontinental was a trio album. Perhaps you are thinking of Virtuoso?

Yeah I spoke a little too soon. And, you're right. It was "Virtuoso". I need to go back to my nap.

Howard Alden recorded a solo album titled, appropriately enough, 'Guitar'. On Howard's website clicking on it returns a 404 error, and the only place I was able to find it was on Amazon.

No links to any songs that I can find. It's a wonderful solo jazz guitar album.

Julian Lage’s World’s Fair is probably my favorite guitar album period. Just inspired writing and playing

Recently I’ve been enjoying Metheny’s MoonDial

Howard Alden has another fine solo guitar album, 2002's 'My Shining Hour'.

Gene Bertoncini- Quiet Now and Body and Soul are both marvelous solo albums. Someone To Light Up My Life is solo bossa with percussion, also wonderful.

Ralph Towner has several solo records, too.

Bill Connors solo acoustic guitar albums were unique, the link below is to his second one, Swimming with a Hole in my Body. Most people know him from his electric playing, e.g., with Chick Corea's first Return to Forever band on the album, Hymn to the Seventh Galaxy.
