Promise of a Fisherman, on Borboletta.

In terms of material, the Milagro album isn't his strongest, but his playing is. Very much so.
-
Some classic Carlos on this one:

-
damn, pingu changed the thread title and ruined my little joke!
-
I really like how he uses his wah!
-
"Soul Sacrifice" at Woodstock. Daaaaaamn.
-
Europa from Moonflower. Beautiful melody, and the notes just float in the air.
Come to think of it…the whole album’s awesome, and his tone is perfect.
-
Europa, the version on Amigos.
-
Europa +1. Just magnificent.
-
Who else is doing air guitar on those long notes in Europa?
-
That or a bong hit.
-
I have a hard time telling one from another, although I can always recognize the tone.
-
. . . the back cover was unique too:
-
Ah yes, Sri Chin-wag.

I think they both add a little extra to the other. My favorite song of theirs is Friends on the Electric Guitarist (JM) album. Now THAT's some tone I can get into.

I like it because it is single coils and staccatto and reminds me of Middle School.
-
In fact, I started playing guitar in the late 60's thanks to Carlos Santana.
There is my small tributte:
