I'm selling my beautiful Guild Benedetto.

Price Drop, from £3000 to £2500.

This guitar has Robert Benedetto's 'opulent brown' nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

Robert Benedetto signed label. The serial number GBB105 indicates that it was manufactured in May 2001.

Body size at lower bout: 17 inch.

Currently, setup with very little relief in the neck. The truss rod has plenty of room for adjustment to your own specification. Action at the 12th fret: Bass 2.2mm, Treble 1.7mm.

As you would expect from a guitar of this age, there are some minor nitrocellulose finish cracks on the back of the headstock, the neck binding has cracked and has slightly shrunk away from nitro finish, but this has been fixed by a professional guitar repairer. Minor nitrocellulose finish blemishes at the switch. The lower price reflects these nitrocellulose finish minor defects. (See photos for nitrocellulose finish details.)

Includes Hiscox professional polyurethane hard case.

I bought the guitar from JustJazzGuitar, the original pics before sale are still on the website.

    Shipping extra costs.

There are minor cosmetic finish and binding cracks on the back of the neck and headstock. Hence the very, very low price.

I bought this guitar from JustJazzGuitars 15-20 years ago.

I LOVE these! The pickups are quite unique, and the guitar and electronics really couple to make an outstanding alternative to the L-5. Jim Hall loved the sound of these pickups so much, he had Jimmy D'Aquisto equip his custom guitar with them. (note: I am not sure if these Benedetto Guilds use the old Guild Pickups, so don't hold me to this) Great neck and beautiful workmanship.
This guitar and the Artist Award are the two guitars that occupy the top niche of hand made "name" guitars and these consistently come in considerably below their Kalamazoo counterparts.
I like the Westerly instruments personally but these were made under the guidance of Bob Benedetto and maybe the only way you could get a "Benedetto L-5 Guild" for this price.
    Gorgeous jazz instruments!
