*SOLD*
$1350.
Eastman AR610 acoustic archtop. Nearly mint. Some years ago, at my advanced age and small size, I swore I would never try using a full-size 17" archtop again. Sold all of my 17" gits, including my 2 Johnny Smiths and D'A. I am now used to smaller archtops, 15"-16". But this big baby caught my eye, and since one of my regular gigs is in a big band, I couldn't resist giving it a try. Well after a few months, I know it's not to be. Too big for me. I can barely get my right hand into position (especially because I use the backwards (Benson) hand position), and my left wrist is at too sharp an angle. Hard enough fighting wrist arthritis as it is.
This is the version with mahogany body and neck (spruce top), and rosewood appointments. Solid carved. The guitar is very loud and warm. The 'hog gives a nice round sound, and the neck is especially resonant. (I prefer 'hog necks to maple, just my preference, that's another reason I bought this.) Beautiful burst shading. The back has a very slight clear burst, which is very attractive.Not much more to say, the guitar is awesome. Neck is dead straight, comfortable with nice action, with plenty of wiggle room either way at the tr and bridge. Plays, sounds, and looks fantastic. Case is in exceptional condition, just a few small scuffs, no tears. I will include a set of Pearse Phosphor Bronze 13's. You could always add a floating pickup or piezo if you wish. I was toying with the idea of adding a Krivo pickup to amplify the acoustic tone, but alas I cannot keep the guitar. I can supply any more detailed pics if you want. Pickguard can be easily removed in you want via the traditional two tiny screws in the side of he neck
Get your "Freddie Green" on!
Asking $XXXX. total, or make an offer. Please include your zip with any offer so I can factor in the shipping from 14150. I have many years of perfect ratings on Reverb and ebay, and several transactions here, all awesome. I thought I would try here before hitting the "Verb," to avoid taxes on both ends and their fees. Thanks!

The AR6xy series are probably Eastman's best-sounding archtops in my opinion (the hog B&S tame their bright nature a bit) and this one has an interesting fingerrest for an acoustic instrument. Probably an aftermarket one?
I knew someone looking for a big acoustic AR6xx model but he's in Wales (UK) (and it was a few months ago)...

That’s a $2400 plus instrument in today’s market for anyone interested. I owned a 610 a year ago and they’re everything I’d ever wanted in an affordable guitar. No disappointments here!

I could be wrong but the 610 with a pickup is $2.400.They are great guitars.GLWTS.

Tnx for all the compliments. I’d be open to working out a trade for a smaller carved archtop, either 15" or maybe 16".

Three years ago I had an AR610 that sold in 7 days via Craigslist. And better yet it went to a guitar student searching for a guitar.

@Woody Sound.
Is it still available?
